Will RCB Bid for Faf du Plessis at IPL 2025 Auction? Former Skipper Responds, “I’ve Got No Idea”
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du
Plessis has responded to the topic of whether the team will try to re-acquire
him as rumors regarding possible bids in the forthcoming IPL 2025 auction grow.
"I've got no idea," he said bluntly when questioned about the
possibilities.
As teams get ready for the auction, Du Plessis' future is
still up in the air. Many teams are interested in him because of his prior
success with RCB, leadership abilities, and experience, but it's unclear what
he will do next. As the auction day draws near, fans and experts will be
closely observing how this situation develops.
Faf is the second most capped RCB captain and the fourth
highest scorer in their 17-year history.
Cricket players and regular people like us are very
different. On most days, that is the case, but not on November 24 and 25. The
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper from 2022 to 2024, Faf du Plessis, is
as clueless as we are about what will transpire at the Indian Premier League
(IPL) 2025 mega auction. He isn't sure if he will rejoin one of the three teams
he has played on or begin a new IPL chapter at the age of forty.
Faf du Plessis, unsure about his IPL 2025 auction fate.
When it comes to auctions, you never know. Everyone is eager
to watch what occurs on November 24 because you never know what will happen.
Since I have no idea what will occur,
Faf was let go even though he led RCB to the playoffs twice
in three seasons. Why? Because the South African is forty years old. Even
though Faf was still in excellent shape and was batting at his peak in T20
cricket, RCB wasn't prepared to pay him a high price to keep him. Although it
might sound harsh, it was the proper decision considering that you are creating
a three for not one, but three seasons. But it doesn't mean they can't get him
back for a lot less money.

Last season, Faf received Rs 7 crore. He has set a base
price of Rs 2 crore for the IPL 2025 mega auction, but it's likely that he won't
be in high demand and will make far less than he did the previous year. Where
will he go that we, Faf, aren't sure of?
