RCB have retained three players before IPL 2025 mega auction.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), one of the most well-liked teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has continuously had trouble with quick bowling. Throughout their IPL history, RCB's potent batting teams have been overshadowed by their erratic bowling lineup.

Despite making it to the finals three times, this enduring problem has been a major factor in the team's failure to win their first championship.

By hiring a new fast bowling coach ahead of the 2025 IPL season, RCB has taken aggressive measures to remedy this problem.

For the forthcoming IPL 2025 season, RCB has named Omkar Salvi, the coach of Mumbai's senior men's side, as their new fast-bowling coach. Salvi is a well-respected player in the Indian domestic circuit who will offer the team a plethora of experience.

In 2005, Salvi only appeared in one List A match for the Railways against Madhya Pradesh. He was formerly an assistant coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League and is the brother of former India bowler Avishkar Salvi.

Mumbai won the coveted Ranji Trophy the previous season while he was coach, demonstrating his skills as a coach and man management. Salvi, who is renowned for his methodical approach, is praised as a brilliant tactician who can produce bowlers who can perform well under duress.

"He has been appointed as bowling coach for RCB for the forthcoming season," The Indian Express said, citing an RCB source who confirmed the situation. He has experience working with other franchises and possesses the necessary competence.

RCB is anticipated to make an official statement shortly.

Dinesh Karthik was already named by RCB as their mentor and batting coach for the 2025 campaign. The team will try to put up a formidable squad for the forthcoming season after retaining Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal prior to the IPL 2025 big auction.
