The Indian Premier League's (IPL 2025) season-18 major auction is already under way. On November 24 and 25, there will be a massive auction with 574 names. As a foreign player, Unmukt Chand's name stands out on this list as well.

Up until 2020, Unmukt Chand was acknowledged as an Indian player. Specifically, he captained the Indian squad that took home the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. However, Chand moved to cricket in the United States after declaring his retirement from Indian cricket in 2021.

As a result, he has registered as a player from the USA for the current IPL mega auction. Unmukt Chand, who is based in Delhi, is prepared to participate in the IPL as a foreign player thanks to this.
